- Arizona: Other Standards - Standards for early childhood education, adult education, career and technical education, teachers, and ELL programs.
- California: CCTE Model Curriculum Standards - California is working with a June 2005 deadline to develop career and technical education standards and to have related frameworks in place by the folloing June. A link to the most recent CTE standards draft is on this web site.
- Delaware: DOE Professional & Curriculum Standards - Contains links to separate pages or pdfs for content standards and, in many cases, sample assessments and activities for Agriscience, Business, English Language Arts, Foreign Language, Family and Consumer Sciences, Functional Life Skills, Health, Math, Physical Education, Science, Social Studies, and Visual and Performing Arts. There is a link to the state's Teachers' Desk Reference, containing pdfs of K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 standards and performance indicators in ELA, math, science, and social studies.
- Georgia: Georgia Learning Connections - A searchable web site that integrates the state's Quality Core Curriculum (QCC) standards with instructional and assessment resources. The QCC are being replaced by Georgia Performance Standards in the areas of ELA, math, science, and social studies. All other QCC subjects with remain within the QCC framework.
- Hawaii: Hawaii Content and Performance Standards Database - A searchable database that is part of the state's 'Standards Toolkit.' Select a subject and grade level to get relevant standards and in many, but not all, cases benchmarks and performance indicators for each standard. Links at the top of each set of search results lead to a related instructional guide, curriculum framework, and scope and sequence - all in Adobe Acrobat format. The toolkit has been designed to contain resources for ELA, math, science, social studies, career and technical education, educational technology, fine arts, health, PE, and world languages.
- Indiana: Indiana's Academic Standards & Resources - Standards for ELA, math, science and social studies by grade level through grade 8 and by high school course. By selecting the appropriate drop down menu, you can drill down into each subject area, grade level standard; once there, you can select a link to relevant classroom activities and classroom assessments. The site also has standards for guidance (academic, career, and citizenahip development), grouped by grade level clusters (K-2, 3-5, etc) and links to standards documents in the areas of business, career and technical programs, the arts, dance, FACS, foreign languages, health, library information literacy, physical education, technology, and theatre.
- Iowa: Career and Technical Education - Standards and benchmarks for agricultural education, business and information systems, FACS, health occupations, industrial technology, and marketing education.
- Kentucky: Student Performance Standards Downloads - Adobe Acrobat copies of the state's 2001 student performance standards for elementary, middle, and high school levels in the arts and humanities, math, practical liviing and vocational studies, reading, science, social studies, writing, and world language.
- Kentucky: Kentucky's Learning Goals and Academic Expectations - The state's six core goals for its educational program, accompanied by an extensive list of academic expectations, and a link to its 'Combined Curriculum Document' - a web page that contains a clickable grid of subjects at different grade levels. A click takes you to another page that shows academic expectations in one column, program of studies information in a second, and core content information in a third.
- Maine: State of Maine Learning Results - Published in 1997, the state's 'Learning Results' document contains both general standards and somewhat more specific grade level standards (grouped preK-2, 3-4, 5-8, and secondary grades) in the areas of the arts, career preparation, ELA, health and PE, modern and classical languages, math, science and technology, and social studies.
- Michigan: Michigan Department of Education - On the left side of the department's home page, click on the K-12 Curriculum link for access to the state's standards for the Arts, Career and Employability Skills, ELA, Health, Math, PE, Science, Social Studies, Technology, and World Languages. A click on the right side of the page on Grade Level Content button (under the MDE Quick Links heading) takes you to various pdfs or MS Word documents for parents and staff about grade level expectations in ELA and Math.
- Mississippi: K12 Curriculum Framework - Links to content area pges with frameworks and curriculum documents (mostly in MS Word format) in the areas of business and technology, foreign language, ELA, math, PE, science, social studies, visual and performing arts, and vocational education. In some cases, technology integration is highlighted in a resource guide specific to a particular subjects (the 2004 revision of the social studies framework, for example).
- Montana: Montana Content and Performance Standards - Adobe Acrobat copies of standards for the arts, career and vocational-technical education, ELA, health, library media, math, science, social studie, technology, workplace competencies, and world languages. The standards are benchmarked for the competion of grades 4, 8, and 12.
- Nevada: Academic Standards - Content standards with grade level performance indicators in html, MS Word, and Acrobat format for the Arts, Career and Technical Education, Computers and Technology, ELA, English as a Second Language, Foreign Language, Health, Information Literacy, Math, PE, Science, and Social Studies.
- New Hampshire: Curriculum Frameworks - Curriculum frameworks (some in Acrobat format, others on their own web pages) for the Arts, Career Development, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
- New Jersey: Core Curriculum Content Standards - Adopted in 1996 and subject to revision every five years, the NJ standards deal with the arts, career education, ELA, FACS, health, math, PE, science, social studies, technological literacy, and world languages. A typical document, available as both a web page and in Adobe Acrobat format, contains the relevant standards, strands, and progress indicators.
- New Jersey: NJPEP - NJPEP offers online professional development resources, including a link to state standards and a fair amount of supporting material. The latter include descriptions of the strands within the standards and various classroom activities.
- New Jersey: Core Curriculum Standards Resource - A searchable database of New Jersey standards
- New Mexico: Standards - Links to content standards, benchmarks, and performance standards for the arts; career readiness; ELA; health; math; modern, classical and native languages; PE; science; and social studies. Each link goes to a subject area page that contains some information about its standards and has links to both MS Word and Adobe Acrobat copies of the relevant standards document. In addition, links at the top of each page go to online versions of the content standards and brief descriptions of the related frameworks.
- New York: Core Subjects and Learning Standards - Links to sites for the arts, career development and occupational studies, ELA, FACS, health, languages other than English, math, PE, science, social studies, and technology. Each site has copies of the related learning standards and examples of student work.
- North Carolina: North Carolina Standard Course of Study - Toward the bottom of the page you will find a grid of links that shows subjects (the arts, computer and technology skills, ELA, guidance, health, information skills, math, second languages, science, social studies, and workforce development) down the left side, grade levels (K to 8 are listed individually, 9-12 as a group), and clickable links where the two intersect. Each link on a subject area line goes to the same subject area page. Links on the that page generally go an Adobe Acrobat copy of subject area standards and competencies (if the subject has been revised within the past several years) or to a web version.
- Oregon: Standards - Content and performance standards for the Arts, Careers, ELA, Foreign Language, Instructional Technology, Health, Math, PE, Science, and Social Studies (the performance standards for middle level math and ELA were published as drafts on November 19, 2004). The Standards page also has links to a specialized search page, an Oregon Standards Newspaper, and a Teaching and Learning Resource Center with standards-based instructional resources.
- Pennsylvania: Academic Standards - Academic standards for grades 3, 6, 9, and 12 in the areas of the arts, career education, ELA (reading, writing, speaking, and listening), the environment, FACS, health, math, science and technology, social studies (civics, economics, geography, history), and world languages. Most standards were revised in 2002-2003. As of February 2005, the career education and world languages stuandards were still listed as in process. They are also the only standard to be listed in Adobe Acrobat format only; the others are in MS Word format as well.
- South Carolina: Curriculum and Standards - Clicking on a book icon next to a subject area category leads to MS Word and Adobe Acrobat copies of curriculum standards for that area (choices: the arts, ELA, foreign language, health, math, PE, science, and social studies), while clicking on the name of the subject leads to a page with more information about that subject - including links to resources and lesson plans. This page also has several related documents, including a guide for parents and a link to the Soutth Carolina Teaching and Learning Connections.
- South Carolina: South Carolina Teaching Learning Connections - SCTLC, though a '.com' site, is sponsored by the state department of education as a core instructional resource for teaching (and learning how to teach) with standards. it includes a searchable database of state standards (in math, science, social studies, ELA, PE, and career and technical education), and instructional search engine linked to MarcoPolo, and a lesson plan builder (called 'Slate') that helps teachers create standards-based lessons.
- South Dakota: South Dakota Content Standards - Standards for agriculture education, business, reading and communictions arts, FACS, fine arts, health, math, PE, science, social studies, special education functional standards, technology, trade and industrial education, and world language. Most are in Word or pdf format; some are more detailed than others (math, for example), reflecting their more recent revision. (Revised science standards were published in January 2005, for example; math standards the year before.)
- Tennessee: Curriculum - Education - Links to state standards and performance indicators for subjects with state tests (ELA, Health, Math, Science, Social Studies), subjects without tests (Computer Technology, Dance, Early Childhood, ESL, Foreign Language, Music, PE, Theatre, and Visual Art), and vocational-technical areas (Agriculture, Business and Information Technology, FACS, Health Science, Marketing, Technology Education, and Trade and Industrial Education).
- Texas: Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) - State standards are embedded in the TEKS, published in 1998. The TEKS also serve as curriculum guidelines for elementary and middle school programs and for high school courses in the arts, career education, ELA, FACS, health and PE, languages other than English, math, science, social studies, and technology. A typical TEKS document contains lists of knowledge and skills that students should master at each grade level or in each high school course.
- Utah: K-12 Core Curriculum - This site displays a grid, with subject areas down the side and grade levels across the top. Clicking on an intersecting square with a grade level number in it takes you to a page with relevant core standards, performance indicators, lesson plans, and links to other resources. The subject areas covered are the arts, business, educational technology, FACS, health, the core K-2 program, ELA, library media, math, PE, science, social studies, technology, and world language.
- Vermont: Vermont's Framework of Standards and Learning Opportunities - Published in 2000, the state's standards and performance indicators are groupd pre-K-4, 5-8, and 9-12 in the areas of Communications (including information technology); Reasoning and Problem Solving; Personal Development (including health and workplace competencies); Civic and Social Responsibility; the Arts, Language, and Literature (including second language); History and Social Science; and Science, Mathematics, and Technology. Grade expectations in each area were updated in 2004 and published on the web site through early 2005 for the Arts, Health, History and Social Studies, Information Technology, Math, Reading and Writing, Non-native Language,PE, and Science.
- Washington: Career and Technical Education Program Standards - As of mid-February 2005, this web site stated at an updated version of these standards would be available in January 2005.
- West Virginia: WV Content Standards and Objectives - Standards, objectives, and performance indicators by grade (K-8) and high school course in the areas of the arts, driver education, early learning, ELA, foreign language, health, math, PE, science, social studies, technology, and vocational education. All standards took effect between 2003 and 2004. All are available in MS Word format, with a few available as Adobe Acrobat documents.
- Wisconsin: Wisconsin Model Academic Standards - Published in 1997 and 1998, the state's standards documents show standards and performance indicators for the end of grades 4, 8, and 12 in the areas of ELA, Math, Science, and Social - each of which gets its own set of web pages; and (in pdf format) Agriculture, Art and Design, Business, Dance, Environmental Education, FACS, Foreign Language, Health, Information and Technology Literacy, Marketing, Music, PE, Technology Education, and Theatre.
- Wyoming: Wyoming State Standards - State standards were updated in 2003 in the areas of the Arts, Career and Vocational Education, Early Childhood Readiness, Foreign Language, Health, Language Arts, Math, Physical Education, Science, and Social Studies - and published on the web in pdf format. A typical document contains content standards, benchmarks for grades 4, 8, and 11, and performance indicators for below basic, basic, proficient, and advanced levels.
